According to the American Medical Association and the Society of Interventional Radiology, sclerotherapy of nonvascular structures such as seromas, cysts, and abscesses would be reported with the following codes, which would be used regardless of the type of agent used (alcohol, tetracycline, betadine, etc.):

20500 Injection of sinus tract; therapeutic (separate procedure) 76080 Radiologic examination, abscess, fistula or sinus tract study, radiological supervision and interpretation
