Do you have any tips for reporting quantification of drugs not specified and code 80299?
One area of concern in this section of the CPT® manual is the use of the code 80299, for quantification of drugs, not specified elsewhere. When adding new line items to the chargemaster for quantitative measurement of therapeutic drug levels, you should first confirm the drug classification. You may need to refer to a pharmaceutical reference book or search online. Also, review the listing of generic drug classes assigned to unique CPT codes in the series 80150–80203.
