Pharmacy Compliance Question of the Week

Question:

Are there drugs that have payments that could be corrected retroactively?

Answer:

Some drugs based on Average Sales Price (ASP) methodology may receive retroactive correction on payment rates. These retroactive corrections might occur on a quarterly basis. The list of drugs and biologicals with corrected payment rates will be accessible on the first date of the quarter at https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Medicare-Fee-for-Service-Payment/HospitalOutpatientPPS/OPPS-Restated-Payment-Rates.html.
