General Compliance Question of the Week

How does a Medicare Advantage plan differ from Part A and/or B Medicare plans?

The main difference is that it is offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare and not by the “original” Medicare plan operated by the federal government. Several types of plans are under this umbrella, including health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, and private fee-for-service plans. Medicare Advantage Plans provide all Part A and Part B benefits.
