Question:

What must be included when billing for an NOC drug?

Answer:

To be correctly reimbursed when billing a NOC (not otherwise classified) drug or biological the provider must include the following:

  • Name of the drug
  • Total dosage (plus the strength of dosage, if appropriate)
  • Method of administration
