Question:

When will the code freeze be lifted for the ICD-10 codes?

Answer:

Attendees at the March 9, 2016 Coordination and Maintenance Meeting learned that the code freeze will be over on October 1, 2016. It has been five years since ICD-10-CM/PCS were officially updated with the exception of public health issues and emerging technologies.
