When placing a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD), physicians sometimes do a venogram. Lab staff know they can’t code the venogram supervision and interpretation (S & I) but think that code 36005 can be assigned. Is this correct?

No, neither the venogram S & I nor the catheterization code can be reported with pacemaker or ICD placement.
