Do you have any tips for new code 33741?
Code 33741 does not allow assignment of modifier 63 which refers to a procedure performed on infants less than 4kg. Additionally, when this procedure is performed via a transseptal puncture, code 93462 should also be assigned. If a true diagnostic cardiac catheterization is performed at the same time as the procedure defined by 33741, this is not included and may be separately coded.
|33741||Transcatheter atrial septostomy (TAS) for congenital cardiac anomalies to create effective atrial flow, including all imaging guidance by the proceduralist, when performed, any method (e.g., Rashkind, Sang-Park, balloon, cutting balloon, blade)|
