According to the Pharmacy Times article “Little Known Laws and Regulations the Community Pharmacist Should Know,” the following areas are commonly missed:
- “Controlled substance prescriptions cannot be stamped
- Doctor’s first and last name must be on the prescription
- The patient’s address must be on the front of the prescription
- Controlled substances must be filled once before they can be transferred.”
